Small
laptops are primarily prized for their portability. Generally, they'll
only weigh between two to three pounds. This makes it much easier to
carry them around more often and conveniently than standard laptop designs.
Another great aspect of small laptops is that they are fully functional
computers. However, this does not mean that they are powerful designs.
Rather, they offer such features as USB ports, VGA-out ports, Wi-Fi,
and Webcam capabilities, but may not run them very smoothly. In fact,
they occasionally have problems loading intensive Internet sites such
a YouTube.
For the most part, small laptops are inexpensive. You get a bit less
capabilities for your money when you compare these to laptops, just
as you get less from a laptop than a desktop for the money. However,
you can easily find options for under $300. If you are okay with limited
usefulness and shorter battery life, they are a great option under many
circumstances.
