Portable notebook printers are fast becoming popular among those that engage in a lot of business travel. They are ideal for those that find themselves needing to occasionally print out forms or documents, but don’t have access to a dedicated printer. These items are designed to be small and compact enough to take nearly anywhere.
Portable notebook printers are mainly of the inkjet variety. These printers tend to use less power, and as such are much easier to operate when away from a dedicated electrical outlet. Laser printers require too much power for them to be made as a portable printer.
In addition to regular printers, there are also portable notebook printers that are designed specifically for printing photographs. These printers tend to be a bit more expensive because of their higher resolution, color printing. These printers only print in smaller sizes, so they cannot be used as a document printer.
