For
most people, the memory capacity of the average laptop is usually sufficient
for the majority of their needs. However, if you use your computer for
video or audio processing, or if you run programs that use up a great
deal of available space, upgrading your notebook memory might be a good
option. Additional memory capacity can help your computer run faster.
Upgrading or replacing notebook memory is a relatively simple process
in most instances. For the most part, the only required tool is a screwdriver.
Assuming your computer allows for easy access to the mother board, this
process normally takes less than 15 minutes.
To upgrade your notebook memory, first you must open the access door
to the mother board. The memory chip can usually be easily disconnected
and lifted out of the computer. The new chip (assuming you have the
right one) can be easily popped in to replace the old chip.
