Laptop stands, Computer stands, and Vehicle stands
Welcome to LaptopStand.org.
Even though laptop stands didn’t exist just a few years ago, there
is now a large market for them. Because laptops are so user-friendly,
many people are using laptops exclusively for work and not using desktop
computers at all.
Because of this, laptop stands are used in many places and for many
reasons. Some of the places laptop computer stands are found include:
• Vehicles – Vehicle laptop stands are
nice things to have for some people, but for others, they are absolute
necessities. These laptop stands are found often in vehicles that belong
to police departments.
Because a police officer needs to have access to a lot of different
information when he pulls over somebody on the road, laptop stands can
help him have access to it with just a couple of clicks of the mouse.
Also, because officers sometimes forget details at crash scenes when
they are later filling out paperwork, having a laptop in their cars
can help them quickly fill out the reports while on the scene.
Most police departments have gone to installing vehicle laptop stands
in police cruisers. These stands can easily be moved out of the way
when an officer is driving and then brought back into place when the
laptop is needed.
These laptop stands are also often placed in civilian automobiles.
Although it is not recommended to use laptops while driving, those people
who make a living by using their cars can still use laptop stands quite
a bit.
For example, a traveling salesman can use his laptop in between sales
calls to look for maps detailing how to get to the next destination.
He also can enter information about his most recent sale from the comfort
of his vehicle.
• Hospitals – It is important that hospitals
be able to expeditiously help those who are sick, but also gather all
of the relevant information needed to treat and bill customers. Nowhere
is this more evident than in an emergency room. Office personnel in
many hospitals use mobile laptop stands in emergency situations.
Many times a person entering an emergency room must be cared for immediately.
There is not time to ask about insurance or get the patient’s
billing address. However, once the patient has been admitted and received
care, it can be difficult for a receptionist to get all the information
he or she needs when her computer is at the front desk, but the patient
is in a hospital room.
Portable laptop stands allow the office personnel to wheel their laptops
into the patient’s room and ask the information he or she needs
to receive. Then, the receptionist can just as easily exit the room
with all of the information needed.
• Offices – The laptop stands in offices
are a bit more simple, but equally needed. Anybody who has worked from
a laptop at a desk knows how hot the laptop can become if it is sitting
on a desk for too long. There are laptop stands that can be used in
offices that help to keep the laptop from overheating. This helps keep
the laptop as well as the office furniture from being damaged.
